nd varsity 8+ and varsity 4+ boats each compete in four 1,000-meter races and two 500-meter races.
"I am very happy with how things went today for us," said head coach
Charlie DiSilvestro. "Our goal was to get in lots of racing against a very good team in Kansas. We competed hard in all six pieces, and we knew we would have hands full against them. Even though they beat us we raced hard in every one and learned each piece. I am really happy with how things went today and it sets us up well for our next race at the Lubbers Cup (Michigan) in two weeks.
The Lubbers Cup is held April 8-9 on a 2,000-meter course on Spring Lake in Spring Lake, Mich. Drake will compete against a challenging field that features teams from Eastern Michigan, Illinois, host Grand Valley State Marquette, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Purdue.
