DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's golf team finished the first round of the Indiana State Spring Invitational tied for third-place on Sunday.
The Bulldogs recorded a 315 on the first day of the 36-hole event and are tied with Indiana State. William Woods is on top of the leaderboard with a score of 306, followed by Western Illinois with a 310.
Junior
Madison Glennie led the team with a two-over, 74, and its tied for third-place. Freshman
Sigurlaug Jonsdottir shot a 78 and is tied for 11th-place. Sophomore
Grace Dunn carded an 80, while freshman
Aimee Gerschke registered an 83. Junior
Nicole Blanchard rounded out the team's effort with an 86.
Junior
Brooke Miller, who is playing as an individual, recorded an 88 on the first day.
The Bulldogs will play the final 18 holes of the Indiana State Spring Invitational on Monday.
