DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake Basketball has announced a new ticket option for the 2017-18 campaign. Fans can now purchase flex tickets for both Drake men's and women's basketball in quantities of six and 10. Both flex and season tickets went on sale Thursday, Sept. 14.
 
"Flex Tickets provide fans with more flexibility than ever before," said Tom Florian, Assistant Director of Ticket Sales. "Fans can purchase flex tickets up front and then redeem them in any combination once they know what game or games they wish to attend."
 
The men's basketball team, led by first year head coach Niko Medved, opens the 2017-18 slate at home on Saturday, Nov. 11 against Coe College. The women's basketball team, the reigning 2017 Missouri Valley Conference champions, starts its season on Friday, Nov. 10 at home in the Preseason WNIT against Milwaukee.
 
Full season tickets for both men's and women's basketball for the 2017-18 season are also on sale now. Tickets start as low as $129 for men's basketball and $80 for women's basketball. As a special incentive, all fans that purchase season tickets by Sept. 29 will receive a limited edition collectible Paul F. Morrison bobblehead.
 
Flex tickets are available in quantities of six and 10 for both men's basketball and women's basketball, each with price points based on seating location. The 6-Flex ticket package starts as low as $48 while the 10-Flex ticket package begins at $70.

How Flex Tickets Work
Fans can now purchase a 6-Flex or 10-Flex option that can be redeemed to any home game in any combination. With savings off individual game box office prices, flex tickets offer fans the flexibility of choosing the games they want, when they want. By purchasing 10 flex tickets, a fan can visit the Drake Athletics Ticket Office to redeem four flex tickets for four game tickets to one game, then stop by at a later time to redeem the remaining six flex tickets for two game tickets to three other games. Of course, the earlier a fan swaps out a flex ticket for a game ticket, the better seat they can secure.
