DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team is set to travel to Omaha, Neb. to face off against Omaha and North Dakota on Saturday, Feb. 3. Drake will open up against Omaha at 11 a.m. before facing North Dakota at 4 p.m.
Drake (3-0) continued its strong opening to 2018 with wins over South Dakota and Augustana last weekend. The Bulldogs took a 5-2 victory over South Dakota after sweeping the doubles point while senior

Kenya Williams picked up singles wins. The Bulldogs ended the weekend sweeping Augustana for the 4-0 victory.

Tess Herder and Petushkova swept the Missouri Valley Conference women's tennis weekly awards. Petushkova was selected as the MVC Singles Player of the Week for Jan. 30 after improving to 3-0 over the weekend while Herder and Petushkova helped the Bulldogs sweep doubles on the weekend with a 6-1 victory over South Dakota and a 6-4 victory over Augustana.
Omaha (2-2) went 1-2 last weekend with a sweeping victory over William Jewel, a 2-5 loss to UMKC and a narrow 3-4 loss against Creighton. Omaha will host Missouri State Friday before facing off against Drake.
North Dakota (0-1) fell to Sacramento State last weekend to open their season and will travel to face Creighton Friday before playing Drake.
The Bulldogs will return home on Feb. 9 to take on Milwaukee at 1 p.m. in the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
