The Drake University women's basketball team moved to No. 24 in Monday's Associated Press' women's college basketball poll. Drake, which is 6-1 overall with its lone loss to No. 1 Notre Dame, received votes each of the first three weeks of the poll. The Bulldogs went 2-1 last week at the Vancouver Showcase with wins over Rutgers and then No. 13 South Carolina and a loss to the Fighting Irish.
 
This is the first ranking for the program since it closed the 2016-17 season at No. 20 in the final AP poll.
 
Drake plays at Creighton Wednesday at 12 p.m.
