COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Drake women's basketball head coach
Jennie Baranczyk will be one of the featured speakers at the USA Basketball Chicago Coach Academy Presented by Nike, USA Basketball announced Wednesday, March 21 afternoon. The two-day academy will take place May 19-20 at Lane Technical College Prep High School in Chicago.
Baranczyk, who served as a court coach for the 2017 USA Basketball Women's U19 World Cup Team trials and was a featured speaker at the USA Basketball Sioux Falls Coaches Academy in June, guided Drake to another historic season in 2017-18. Drake won its second-straight Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament titles with the program's second-consecutive 18-0 record in MVC action and qualified for the NCAA tournament for the second-straight season.
USA Basketball Coach academies provide valuable insight and education to coaches and administrators of basketball. Academy sessions impart the USA Basketball curriculum for a proper skill development path to teach the game to players of all ages and ability levels. Additionally, guest speakers deliver on and off court sessions on basketball and leadership topics.
Baranczyk is just one of several successful coaches scheduled to present at the academy joining other NCAA coaches, high school coaches and administrators and gold medal winning USA Basketball coaches.
