Men’s Basketball To Host Blue/White Game Sunday, Oct. 7

Bulldogs' scrimmage to start at 2 p.m.

DES MOINES, Iowa - Drake University fans can get their first glimpse of the 2018-19 men's basketball team Sunday, Oct. 7, during the team's Blue/White Game, presented by TrueNorth.

Tipoff at the Knapp Center is scheduled for 2 p.m. with the Bulldogs competing against each other under the direction of first-year head coach Darian DeVries.

Admission to the Blue/White Game, presented by TrueNorth is free. However, fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Food Bank of Iowa.

"We can't wait to compete in front of our fans for the first time at the Blue/White Game," DeVries said. "It should be a fun day with so many new faces on the team and we're excited to partner with the Food Bank of Iowa to support a great cause."

The Bulldogs welcome 10 new players to the roster this season including three Division I transfer student-athletes and three junior college transfers. The team begins official preseason practices Friday, Sept. 28.
