ST. LOUIS – Redshirt sophomore defender Lucas Bartlett (Overland Park, Kan.) of the Drake University men's soccer team was named the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the MVC office announced Wednesday, Sept. 5.
 
Bartlett, a transfer from Loyola, scored two goals last week in just his second and third games for Drake on his way to winning his first-ever MVC weekly honor. He was the hero in the team's upset victory over then No. 9 Butler with a late goal in a 2-1 victory. Bartlett followed that with the Bulldogs' first goal in a 3-1 win over then No. 20 UIC. He is tied for the team lead in goals with two.
 
Bartlett and his teammates return home Friday when DePaul travels to the Cownie Soccer Complex. First kick against the Blue Demons is scheduled for 7 p.m.
