Women’s Tennis Closes Play at ITA Central Regional

Petushkova and Tatarnikova fall in doubles in action

The Drake University women's tennis team wrapped up its competition at the ITA Central Regional Saturday afternoon with a loss in the round of 32 in the doubles draw.

In that doubles match, the Drake team of Liza Petushkova and Maria Tatarnikova was defeated by their hosts from Oklahoma Martina Capurro and Camila Romero by a score of 8-4.

The Bulldogs return to campus to continue their fall practices before returning to competition Nov. 8-10 at the San Diego Fall Classic.
