Men’s Basketball Embarking On A Busy Few Days

Bulldogs to host Media Day, Tipoff Breakfast and Blue & White Exhibition This Week

The start of the 2019-20 season is just days away and it will feel even closer this week as the Drake men's basketball team begins to publicly preview the season with three events in Des Moines including the Blue & White exhibition Thursday evening. 

Starting Wednesday, Oct. 23, the team will meet with members of the local media starting at 1:30 p.m. for the team's annual Media Day. In addition to the stories and previews from the media, Drake Sports Media will expand coverage with a live, wall-to-wall onlie broadcast from the Shivers Basketball Practice Facility.

The live broadcast will be available on the Drake Athletics Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DrakeAthletics and posted on GoDrakeBulldogs.com shortly after the event.

Thursday morning, the team joins the women's program for the annual Bulldog Club Tipoff Breakfast at the Downtown Marriott at 7 a.m. For more information on the Bulldog Club Tipoff Breakfast, contact Cole Neary at 515-271-2228 or cole.neary@drake.edu. 

Finally the team will compete in front of fans Thursday night at 6 p.m. in the Knapp Center for the Blue & White exhibition. The Bulldogs will split into two teams for their first public exhibition and glimpse at the 2019-20 team. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
