Drake University senior Nick McGlynn has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
 
The Google Cloud Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom and McGlynn will now be eligible for Academic All-America Honors.
 
McGlynn has led the Bulldogs to a 20-win season in his senior campaign by leading the Missouri Valley Conference in rebounding at 8.3 rebounds per game while scoring 15.3 points per game.
 
He recently became the newest member of the Bulldogs' 1,000-point club with more than 1,000 career points in his four seasons at Drake and is the program's all-time leader in blocks with 137.
 
In the classroom, McGlynn owns a 3.62 grade point average as a digital media production major. Last season he was named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete first team.
 
McGlynn and the Bulldogs aim to add to their historic season Sunday when they visit Illinois State for a 1 p.m. tipoff on CBS Sports Network.
