The Drake University men's basketball aims to add to its already historic season Friday evening when it faces Southern Utah in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. Tipoff in Cedar City, Utah, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CDT and will be streamed online at WatchCIT.com and broadcast on radio via ESPN Des Moines 1350-AM
 
The postseason appearance is the Bulldogs' 12^th in program history, its second straight in the CIT and fourth all-time in the tournament. The postseason berth comes on the heels of a wildly successful season in which the Bulldogs won 24 games, the second most in program history, and clinched a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship.
 
As a reward for that journey to the regular season title, the Bulldogs collect numerous MVC awards with MVC Coach of the Year Darian DeVries leading the way in his first season at the helm of the program while senior Nick McGlynn was named first-team all-conference and runner-up in the league's Player of the Year voting.
 
Southern Utah is making it second postseason appearance first since 2001 after going 16-16 this season with a 9-11 mark in the Big Sky Conference. Cameron Oluyitan leads the Thunderbirds with 13.0 points per game for a squad that averages a stout 75.8 points per outing.
