The Missouri Valley Conference regular-season co-champion Drake men's basketball team has been honored five times on the league's annual postseason all-conference teams as annoucned by the league Tuesday, March 5.
 
Senior Nick McGlynn (Stoughton, Wis.) led the way with his selection on the All-MVC first team while Brady Ellingson (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) earned a spot on the second team. The MVC All-Newcomer team also featured Ellingson and McGlynn highlighted the All-Defensive team.
 
D.J. Wilkins (Merrillville, Ind.) also earned All-MVC accolades on the All-Freshman team.
 
McGlynn has been Drake's leader all season, averaging a team-best 15.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. He led the Valley in rebounding this year and added 10 double-doubles while missing six others by a single rebound. He had three 20-point games in Valley action, including 22 in the season finale at Missouri State to help the Bulldogs lock up a share of the Valley title. Defensively, he added 52 blocks this season and became the Bulldogs' all-time leader in career blocks.
 
Ellingson was one of the most accurate sharpshooters in the nation, ranking third in the nation in three-point percentage at 48.2 percent this season. While leading the Valley in three-point shooting, he also led the league in attempts en route to shooting a staggering 53.9 percent from the three-point arc while averaging 13.9 points per game against league foes.
 
Wilkins was one of the league's top freshmen by starting all 31 games for the league championships while averaging 11.2 points per game. He led the Bulldogs in minutes and assists and was second on the team in three-pointers in his first season at Drake. 
 
The five honors tip off a busy week for the Bulldogs' leading up to their MVC Tournament opener Friday at 6 p.m.
