Volleyball Wraps Up Non-Conference Season In North Carolina

Bulldogs to play three matches at UNCW

The Drake University volleyball team concludes its non-conference schedule this weekend with three matches in Wilmington, N.C., as part of the Hampton Inns Seahawk Classic.

The Bulldogs' first-ever visit to North Carolina begins Friday with an 11 a.m. match against Western Carolina, followed by a 6 p.m. contest against the host, UNCW.

The competition resumes Saturday at 9 a.m. against North Carolina A&T.

Drake makes the trek to the Eastern seaboard with a 5-5 record after an 0-3 weekend at the Bluejay with losses to a pair of top-20 opponents.

Following this weekend's tournament, the team returns to the Knapp Center to begin Missouri Valley Conference action against Indiana State, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m.
