ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake University women's basketball player Sara Rhine has been featured in this week's MVC Scholar-Athlete Spotlight, the conference announced Wednesday.
 
To qualify, student-athletes must carry a cumulative GPA of 3.20, have completed at least one academic year at a Valley institution and must be at least a sophomore in academic standing.
 
Rhine, a redshirt senior from Eldon, Mo., boasts a 4.0 GPA as an education major. She is a two-time MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American.
 
On the court, Rhine leads Drake (10-5, 2-1 MVC) in scoring (18.3), rebounding (6.8), field goal percentage (.674) and total blocks (11).
 
The Bulldogs host Indiana State at 6 p.m. on Friday night.
