ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The duo of Kelsey Neville and Maria Tatarnikova has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Doubles Team of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. It is the first honor of the season for each student-athlete.
 
Neville and Tatarnikova breezed through their lone match of the week, winning 6-0 in No. 2 doubles against South Dakota.
 
"I was very pleased with Kelsey and Maria's dominating performance on Saturday," said Drake women's tennis head coach Mai-Ly Tran. "They came off a good win against Kansas last week and continued to play aggressive tennis with high energy."
 
Neville and Tatarnikova knocked off a pairing from No. 19 Kansas, 6-3, last week. The Drake duo is 2-0 together this season.
 
The Bulldogs (2-1) hit the road for a meeting with the Wisconsin Badgers on Friday, Jan. 31. Play is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. in Madison.
