Drake vs. Indiana State Postgame Notes

TEAM NOTES
  • The win was Drake's 12th-straight home win and fifth-straight MVC home win. Drake's last home loss came on Jan. 30, 2019.
  • Drake is 32-6 at home the last two seasons, the highest home-court winning percentage in the Valley during that span.
  • Drake had 21 assists on 27 made baskets. The Bulldogs have had 20 or more assists in three-straight games.
  • Drake has won 24 of its last 31 games.
  • Drake's 49 first-half points were its most against a Division I opponent this season.
  • Drake held an eight-point half time lead, its seventh halftime lead of the season. Drake improved to 7-0 when leading at halftime this season and 28-2 in the last two seasons.
  • Drake shot 51.9 percent in the win and improved to 8-1 when shooting even or better than its opponent and 29-2 over last two seasons.
  • Drake shot 47.6 percent from three-point range, its third-highest percentage against Division I competition this season. Drake improved to 4-0 when 40 percent or better from three-point range and 14-2 over last two seasons
  • Drake scored 80 or more points for the fifth time this season and improves to 5-0 this season when doing so and 14-0 under DeVries. 
  • The win was Darian DeVries' 35th win in 49 games on the Drake bench.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • As part of his 15 points, Liam Robbins made his first four shots of the game to extend his streak of makes inside the three-point arc to 15-straight dating back to Dec. 21. He finished the night shooting 6-of-9. With a free throw with 4:50 left in the first half, he double figures for the seventh-straight game, the 11th time this season and the 14th time in his career. He also matched a career-high with six blocks, tied for the second-most in school history.
  • Jonah Jackson made his first two three-pointers and was 4-of-8  from the three-point arc. He finished the game with 12 points and has shot 13-of-29 from three-point range in the last three games.
  • Roman Penn has now scored in double-figures in six straight games. In the last three games, he is averaging 16.0 points and 9.0 assists per game.
  • D.J. Wilkins 16 points were his most in more than a month dating back to the Murray State game. His five assists were a season high and matched his career high.

SERIES NOTES
  • Despite the loss ISU leads the all-time series 46-43. 
  • Drake has won five-straight over the Sycamores.
  • Drake has won four-straight home games against Indiana State. The average margin of victory in those wins has been 11.8 points.
