The Drake University men's basketball team will play a nine-game non-conference schedule this season that includes six games at the Knapp Center, the Bulldogs announced Thursday, Nov. 19.
As previously announced, the team begins its season Nov. 25 at Kansas State before a national television audience on ESPNU at 1 p.m. The Bulldogs remain in Manhattan, Kan., to face South Dakota Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. USD replaces South Dakota State, who recently withdrew from the four-team event.
The Bulldogs' home slate begins Dec. 3 against Omaha to start a four-game homestand. That stay includes a Dec. 6 game against St. Ambrose followed by a Dec. 9 contest against McKendree and a Dec. 13 tilt versus Air Force.
A rematch with South Dakota on the road is next on the agenda Dec. 16 before the team returns home to face Chicago State (Dec. 20) and North Dakota (Dec. 22) prior to the holiday break and start of the Missouri Valley Conference season.
