The Drake University men's basketball team's upcoming home games against SIU Jan. 3-4 have been selected by ESPNU and CBS Sports Network for national television broadcasts, the Missouri Valley Conference announced Wednesday, Dec. 30.
The 11-0 Bulldogs and 7-1 Salukis begin their two-game series at the Knapp Center Jan. 3 at 5 p.m. on ESPNU followed by a 6 p.m. tipoff Jan. 4 on CBS Sports Network.
The national television broadcasts are a result of the cooperation and collaboration between the Valley, ESPN, CBS Sports Network and Mediacom.
The Bulldogs enter the homestand with the nation's best record and the best start to a season in program history after collecting two wins earlier in the week at Indiana State to open MVC play.
The two broadcasts this week begin a stretch of four-straight nationally televised games for the Bulldogs with the following week's games vs. Loyola slated for ESPN2/ESPNU and CBS Sports Network broadcasts.
A limited number of tickets will be available to the general public for this weekend's men's games as well as the women's team's MVC opener against Bradley Jan. 1-2. Tickets will be available for sale starting at 10 a.m. on December 31 at DrakeTix.com.
Ticket sales will be limited to socially distanced and assigned seating pods. For more information on Drake's ticketing policies and procedures, visit DrakeTix.com.
