ST. LOUIS – Grace Berg of the Drake University women's basketball team has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week for the second straight week, the MVC announced Monday, Dec. 7.
 
Berg continues to make an immediate impact for Drake with two more great games last week. Against Iowa, she had career-highs in points with 26, rebounds with nine and assists with four. Berg followed that with 12 points and four rebounds in the Bulldogs' big win over the Gophers.
 
Berg leads the MVC in scoring at 18.0 points per game and she has scored in double figures in all four games in her first season.
 
Berg and her teammates return to the Knapp Center Thursday night at 6 p.m. when Northwest Missouri State visits for a 6 p.m. game
