The Drake University men's and women's cross country teams added to their strong academic history by being named one of the top academic programs in the nation again. Both teams were named All-Academic teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The men's team had the highest-grade point average of all the men's programs on campus this year. During the fall semester, the men's team recorded a grade point average of 3.49, while the women earned a team grade point average of 3.59.

The honor is the 20th-straight for the men's program and 12th in the past 13 years for the women's program.
