Football to Open 2022 Season at North Dakota State

The matchup on Sept. 3, 2022 will be the third all-time meeting between the teams and the first since 1962. Drake won the game in 1962 and the previous game in 1955 with both victories occurring at Drake Stadium.

FARGO, N.D. – The Drake University football team and North Dakota State will open the 2022 season against each other. The rescheduled game against the reigning three-time NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision National Champions is set for Sept. 3, 2022 in Fargo. It replaces the game scheduled for the 2020 season that was canceled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The matchup in 2022 will be the third all-time meeting between the teams and the first since 1962. Drake won the game in 1962 and the previous game in 1955 with both victories occurring at Drake Stadium.
