The Drake University volleyball team is headed to Illinois this weekend for two matches. The first match is Friday at 6 p.m. against Bradley aired on ESPN+. Then, the Bulldogs head to Illinois State for a match on Saturday at 7 p.m. aired on ESPN3.

This past weekend, Drake took a hit and lost against Indiana State and Evansville in the Knapp Center. Against the Sycamores, Mariana Rodrigues had a team-high of 10 kills for Drake. Against the Aces', Haley Bush had a team-high of 15 kills for the Bulldogs, Mariana Rodrigues had 14 kills, and Jada Willis added 11.

The Bulldogs battled the Braves previously this season and look to secure the win Friday. The last match against Illinois State, the Bulldogs defeated the defending league champions, and look to make the Redbirds blue again. 

Following this weekend, Drake plays University of Northern Iowa in the Knapp Center Oct. 29.
