The Drake University men's soccer team fell to SIUE, 2-0, Saturday evening at Cownie Soccer Complex.
The Bulldogs recorded three shots in the first few minutes of the match, but went wide on the goal or were stopped by SIUE keeper Tor Erik Larsen.

Juan Louis, and
Istvan Wilhelms combined for 19 shots and four on goal throughout the match.
Drake out-shot the Cougars 31-15 and registered 18 shots in the first half alone. After attempting to craft numerous scoring opportunities, the Bulldogs were unable to get past the Cougars defense.
In the 58th minute, Max Broughton scored after receiving a pass from Myles Sophanavong, to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
11 minutes later, Jack Edwards scored for SIUE to take a 2-0 lead over Drake.
The Bulldogs spent remaining 21 minutes attempting to score, but were unable to find the net. Drake tallied five shots that went wide or high on the goal.
After the match, the Bulldogs found out they are a five seed in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. The Bulldogs will begin play on Tuesday Nov. 9 against number four seed Evansville on the Aces home field. Kickoff is slated for 12pm and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
