The Drake University women's basketball team is set to play Nebraska on Sunday Dec. 19 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb. Tipoff is set for 12 pm on BTN Network or FoxSports.com.
 
The Bulldogs are on a six-game winning streak after defeating Northern Illinois on Sunday Dec. 12, 96-44. Drake held the Huskies scoreless in the fourth quarter, which tied an NCAA record.
 
Drake is currently ranked fifth in the country for assists per game, as they total 179 on the season and average 19.9 a game.
 
Freshman Katie Dinnebier currently leads the team in assists with 37. She also the only freshman on the team to average double digits in points this season.
 
Junior Maggie Bair leads the Bulldogs in scoring this season. She averages 13 points and 6 rebounds. Against NIU, she had 12 points and five rebounds.
 
Nebraska is also on a winning streak, as they are 10-0 on the season. In their lone conference game against Minnesota, the Huskers won by three.
 
Leading the Huskers in scoring this season is sophomore guard Jaz Shelly. She averages 15.2 points per game and is shooting 53.4 percent from the arc.
 
Shelly also leads the team in blocks, steals, assists, and rebounding this season.
 
In the Huskers last game, they topped Indiana State 78-50. Shelly and freshman forward Alexis Markowski each recorded 17 points.
 
Markowski recorded a double-double against the Sycamores, as she also tallied 10 rebounds for Nebraska.
 
Nebraska leads the all-time series with Drake, 11-10. The Bulldogs won the last meeting in 2018, in Lincoln, 83-77.
 
After facing Nebraska on their home court, the Bulldogs return to Des Moines to host BIG10 opponent Minnesota on Thursday Dec. 23.
