The Drake University women's tennis team continues its home stand as both Omaha and Grand Canyon visit the Roger Knapp Tennis Center this weekend. Omaha comes to town Friday and are set to start the first match at 5:30 p.m. The Bulldogs will get one day of rest before welcoming Grand Canyon as they are set to play at 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
The Bulldogs completed an impressive 7-0 shutout against Colorado State last weekend. Drake was 6-0 in singles competition and was only topped once in doubles competition.

Omaha is 5-3 on the season and most recently swept UNI in a pair of matches (5-2, 4-3) in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Omaha is an annual opponent for the Bulldogs as they have attempted to play in all of the last five seasons, Drake is 4-0 in those five seasons. These two teams had a match scheduled last season, however it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Drake won the last match 6-1 in the 2018-19 season.
Grand Canyon (0-4) is looking for its first win going into this weekend. They are involved in a doubleheader as they will play Omaha Saturday in the Roger Knapp Tennis Center before meeting with the Bulldogs Sunday. Grand Canyon and Drake last met in Phoenix, Ariz. in Jan. of 2019, Grand Canyon got the slight edge in a 4-3 loss for the Bulldogs.
Following these matches, Drake will wrap up its homestand against in-state rival, Iowa State March 6.
