DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team edged Grand Canyon, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
 
Drake (4-3) won the doubles point as the teams of Darinka Stepan/Ines Stephani and Darinka Stepan/Ines Stephani rolled to easy wins
 
Grand Canyon (1-5) earned the first singles point as Daria Walczak retired in the first set against Emilia Occhipinti. But, the Bulldogs clinched their fourth home match victory as they ripped off three-straight wins as Stephani, Petushkova and Stephan all prevailed.
 
Drake returns to the courts March 6 when it welcomes Iowa State at 1 p.m.
