Emily Plock and
Kylee Macke have earned weekly honors from the Missouri Valley Conference as Plock was named the MVC Volleyball Player of the Week while Macke was name the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
The pair of Central Iowa natives helped lead the Bulldogs to a two-match sweep of Evansville this past weekend.
Emily Plock, a native of Altoona, Iowa, hit .353 on the week in the two four-set wins over Evansville with 42 total kills for a 5.25 kills per set average. She also had 16 digs for a 2.0 digs/set average, two aces and five total blocks. Plock opened the series with a season-high 25 kills in the four-set win over Evansville and added 11 kills for her second double-double of the season. The senior followed that with 17 kills on 31 swings and added a team-high four blocks in the series finale.
Kylee Macke, who hails from Ankenky, Iowa, had 60 total digs for a 7.50 digs per set average while serving up three aces. Macke had 27 digs to open the week and followed that with a 33 digs to match a career high and finish one dig shy of her career best.
The two seniors lead the Bulldogs into their next MVC series at Indiana State March 14-15.
