The Drake University football team begins the 2021 fall season Thursday, Sept. 2, against West Virginia Wesleyan College at Drake Stadium. Drake, which played an abbreviated Pioneer Football League slate in the spring of 2021 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, returns all four of its team captains, Mark Bach, Grant Gossling, Cross Robinson and Alex Rogers, along with multiple starters on offense, defense and on special teams. The Bulldogs start PFL action at home against the Valparaiso Sept. 25.

The volleyball team will host a nine-game home conference slate of entirely Missouri Valley Conference foes as it returns nearly its entire roster from a historic 2021 spring season. The Bulldogs recorded their best finish in almost three decades, with junior Haley Bush leading the way to earn MVC Player of the Year honors last season. Head coach Darrin McBroom, who has led the program's complete reconstruction, enters his ninth season after becoming the first Bulldog head coach to earn MVC Coach of the Year honors. The home campaign begins Sept. 24 against Illinois State at 6 p.m.

The men's and women's soccer teams are also set to begin their fall campaigns after abbreviated spring seasons. Both teams' matches are free of charge, with the women's team returning to campus to host their home matches at Drake Stadium for a 10-match home schedule. The men's team will host its seven home matches at Cownie Soccer Stadium.

The Drake Athletics Ticket Office continues to function remotely currently and is not open for in-person sales. For immediate assistance, please email tickets@drake.edu.

Current Drake fall sports schedules are available at GoDrakeBulldogs.com, and ticketing information is available at DrakeTix.com. Schedules and ticket information for other Drake sports, including basketball, will be announced at later dates.
