The Drake men's soccer team fell to Truman State, 2-1, in its final exhibition match of the season.
Four minutes into the match, Truman State's Sam Newton found the net after a through pass from Luke Payne, putting Truman up 1-0.

Bradan Allen found was able to get pass Truman's defense and score to tie the game 1-1.
The first half was dominated by Truman State's offense, as they maintained possession most of the half. In the 39th minute, Mitchell Kidd scored off a pass from Newton to put Truman in the lead, 2-1.
Drake maintained possession in the second half but was unable to find the net. Drake's defense was led by senior
TC Anderson and graduate
Declan Watters.
The Bulldogs registered 14 shots compared to Truman State's seven. Allen and senior
Erik Fahner both registered two shots on goal in the match.
Drake hits the road to take on Milwaukee in the regular season opener Thursday Aug. 26. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
