ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake volleyball's Haley Bush was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week after a trio of outstanding performances against UNI, Valparaiso, and UIC. Bush's recognition marks her first such award of the season and the third different Bulldog to earn MVC weekly honors.
 
Bush led the Bulldogs to a 2-1 record in three MVC matches last week. The senior Waukee, Iowa native posted 16 kills, 13 digs, and a block in a mid-week match at UNI. She then proceeded to notch another balanced performance with 18 kills, 14 digs, and three blocks in win over Valpo.
 
Bush capped off her tremendous week with a season-best 27 kills, the second-most in her career, in a home sweep over UIC. She also added defensive support for Drake with five total blocks in the three matches.
 
Bush's stellar week extended her current streak of matches with double-digit kills to 10 games.
 
Drake volleyball will return to action this weekend with another road trip to Evansville on Friday, Oct. 21 and Indiana State on Saturday, Oct. 22.
