KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Drake University men's basketball freshman swingman Tucker DeVries was named to the NABC All-District second team in District 16, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced on Tuesday (March 15).
 
DeVries was recognized earlier this month by the Missouri Valley Conference as Freshman of the Year while earning spots on the All-MVC second team, newcomer team and freshmen team.
 
DeVries leads the team in scoring (13.9) and three-point field goals (71). He has added 28 blocks, 68 assists, 34 steals and 4.6 rebounds per game.
 
Drake men's basketball received the No. 1 seed in the College Basketball Invitational and will play No. 16 seed Purdue Fort Wayne in the first round at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Saturday (March 19) at 11 a.m. CT.
