Jenkins Under Par in Round One, Play Suspended Due to Weather

The Twin Oaks Intercollegiate has been shortened to 36 holes with the remaining 10-11 holes to be played tomorrow morning in Missouri.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Weather shortened day one of the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate at Twin Oaks Country Club on Monday, March 21. The Drake men's golf team finds itself in seventh place after a combined first round score of 294.

The 16 competing teams were in the middle of the second round when rain and thunderstorms forced suspension of play for the day.

Making his spring season debut Zac Jenkins fired a 70 (-1) in the opening round as Tim Lim finished his first round at 73 (+2).

Lucas Scherf shot a first round 75 while Nikko Ganas and Nick Pittman both registered a 76.

The Twin Oaks Intercollegiate has been reduced to 36 holes with the plan for teams to resume play at 8 a.m. on Tuesday to complete their second rounds, with most competitors having 10 or 11 holes left to play.
