VALPARAISO, Indiana -- The Drake University women's tennis team defeated Valparaiso, 4-3, to continue their winning streak Saturday afternoon. 

The Bulldogs opened up the day with the point in doubles play. Mille Haagensen and Darinka Stepan defeated Demi Jhaveri and Allison McConnell 6-3. 

Ines Stephani and Rebecca Ehn also defeated their opponent, 6-1.

The Bulldogs and Beacons split the points in singles play, but Drake ended up on top. 

Liza Petushkova defeated Olivia Czerwonka 6-2, 6-3. 

Darinka Stepan defeated her opponent 6-4 before sweeping them 6-0. 

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday April 9 as they host Illinois State.
