DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Drake University women's tennis team is headed to the Championship match of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, after sweeping Valparaiso 4-0. 

The Bulldogs earned their first point in doubles play after wining on court two and three. 

Darinka Stepan earned the Bulldogs second point in singles play on court five, 6-2, 6-0. 

Liza Petushkova earned the Bulldogs third point on court one. She defeated Olivia Czerwonka, 6-3, 6-3. 

Freshman of the Year Mille Haagensen secured the win for the Bulldogs on court four. She defeated Demi Jhaveri 6-4, 6-2. 

The Bulldogs will return to the Championship in attempts to defend their title, as they won in 2020. They will play the winner of Illinois State, Bradley at 10am Sunday April 24.
