DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Drake University men's and women's basketball teams are set to take to the streets of Des Moines again on Thursday, Oct. 6 for Drake Hoops Fest, a truly one-of-a-kind fan experience on Des Moines' historic Court Avenue.  

The centerpiece of the event once again will be a basketball court, provided by Sport Construction Midwest, at the intersection of 3rd and Court Ave.  

In partnership with the Court Avenue Entertainment District, all vehicular traffic will be restricted from the entertainment district, allowing fans to freely walk along Court Avenue while getting a preview of the 2022-23 Bulldog basketball teams.

Drake Hoops Fest gets underway at 5 p.m., and the Bulldogs will take the court led by men's basketball head coach Darian DeVries and women's basketball head coach Allison Pohlman.

The festivities are scheduled to conclude at 8 p.m. More details are to be announced at a later date.
