SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Drake men's tennis junior Jeremy Schifris was named the TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Tennis Peak Performer of the Week for the first time in his career, the league announced Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Schifris excelled in singles play against a top-100 opponent in Illinois' Hunter Heck, who is the No. 95 ranked player by ITA. The Munich, Germany native picked up a win at the No. 1 spot in comeback fashion. After losing the first set, 4-6, Schifris won the final two sets 6-2, 7-5 to pick up a point for the Bulldogs on Sunday (Jan. 29). 

Drake returns to the court at Oklahoma on Friday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m.
