HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- A balanced effort boosted Drake women's golf (301-295-- 596) into a tie for fourth place out of 12 teams following day one of The Judson hosted by Southern Miss at Hattiesburg Country Club on Monday, Oct. 30. 

Rylee Heryford (73-76--149) and Amber Henson (74-75-149) are tied with each other for 22nd on the leaderboard. Julie Huggins (79-71-150) improved her first round score by eight strokes. Aayushi Sarkar (75-75-151) was right with the pack and consistent throughout the day.

Erika Holmberg (79-73--152) also displayed a noticeable improvement in the second round. Kate Connolly (84-76--260) lowered her score by eight strokes in round two competing as an individual. 

The final round will begin on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 31.
