SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drake women's tennis team participated in the MVC Individual Championships hosted by Missouri State Unviersity over the weekend. Drake was represented by multiple finalists and one title-winning doubles tandem.
 
Mille Haagensen and Darinka Stepan teamed up to earn the Flight 2 Doubles Championship. Haagensen and Stepan both also reached the finals in their respective singles draws.
 
Individually, Ines Stephani was a finalist in the Flight 1 Singles Draw. She joined Oriana Parkins-Godwin, the fifth-place finisher and consolation winner in the Flight 4 Singles Draw, to earn runner-up status in the Flight 1 Doubles Draw.
 
Drake's final doubles team of Nicole Lee and Elizabete Klavinska also reached the championship round of the Flight 3 Doubles Draw. Lee made her way to the consolation finals of the Flight 6 Singles Draw.
 
Next up, the Bulldogs will travel to Lawrence, Kan. for the ITA Regionals from Thursday, Oct. 12 to Monday, Oct. 16.
