SOUND BEND, Ind. - The Drake men's tennis team won five matches in the Fighting Irish Mini-Duals, concluding their fall 2023 season.
 
"To continue to get wins over top-ranked schools demonstrates our level of competitiveness on the national stage," head coach Ben Lott said. "Several of our losses were by a 1/2 point margin that, as we progress through the year, we are confident will very quickly flip in our favor. We look forward to getting into a training block through the off-season and be ready to hit the ground running in January."
 
Jeremy Schifris won two singles matches on the weekend, defeating his opponents in straight sets both times. Matija Matic also won two singles matches, reigning victorious in nail-biter matches that both went to three sets.
 
Schifris and Olle Sonesson Lidholt defeated Matteo Laquinto and Sven Moser from DePaul in dominant fashion, winning 6-2.
