ST. LOUIS -- Drake men's basketball Kevin Overton freshman guard was named Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced Monday, Dec. 11. 

Overton averaged 15.0 points and 5.5 rebounds over a pair of wins last week. Overton scored 21 points (one shy of his career-high) while collecting four rebounds and a block in Drake's 75-69 home win over Saint Louis on Wednesday. He added nine points to pair with a career-high seven rebounds in a 72-53 victory against Nevada on Saturday in the Jack Jones Classic.

Overton was previously named MVC Freshman of the Week on Nov. 20.

The Bulldogs will host Grambling State at the Knapp Center on Thursday, Dec. 14 with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
