GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Lucas Scherf (72-63-135, -9) fired a career-low 63 in the second round to settle into first place on the leaderboard after day two of the Loyola (Md.) Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club on Monday, Feb. 27. Scherf helped Drake men's golf (304-277) jump nine spots in the team standings as the Bulldogs are now in a tie for ninth.
Silvester Tan (72-69-145, +1) also had a career-low with a 69 during round two.
Nick Pittman (76-77-153, +9) has stayed consistent through the first two rounds.
Jack Dumas (83-70-153, +9) improved his second round score by 13 strokes compared to the opening round for his second-lowest round of the season.
Shayne Patel (80-75-155, +11) also displayed improvement on day two.
The final round will begin with a 7:45 a.m. MT shotgun start.
