SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Matija Matic of Drake men's tennis was named TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Matic collected the third career peak performer award of his career after helping Drake past Wisconsin (6-1) this past Saturday. He teamed up with
Oliver Johansson to defeat ITA's No. 28 doubles tandem of Gabriel Huber and Michael Minasyan at the No. 1 doubles spot, 6-4. Matic followed that up by defeating Jared Pratt at the top singles spot, 7-6, 2-6, 6-2.
Drake men's tennis will resume competition March 10-12 at the Arizona State Spring Tournament.
