Drake at Hoops in the Heartland
Drake is 46-21 all-time in the MVC Tournament. The Bulldogs have won seven MVC Tournament championships and finished as the league runner-up on eight different occasions.

The Bulldogs are an undefeated 7-0 in the first round, 22-8 in the quarterfinal round and 15-9 in the tournament semifinals. Drake will look to improve on their record as the No. 4 seed with a 1-4 all-time mark in that slot.

Drake will also look to narrow the gap against Missouri State in the conference tournament as the Lady Bears lead Drake 11-5 at Hoops in the Heartland.

Scouting Missouri State
Missouri State is now 20-10 overall this season as the No. 5 seed in the MVC Tournament. The Lady Bears snapped a short losing streak after dropping the final two games of the regular season at Drake (3/2) and UNI (3/4) with a first round win over Bradley. Missouri State took care of the No. 12 seed Braves 71-53 earlier this afternoon.

Aniya Thomas leads the Lady Bears in scoring with 15.1 points per game. She also averages 4.2 assists and 2.1 steals to pace the team. Thomas represented Missouri State all over the Valley awards list with All-MVC Second Team, All-Defensive Team, and All-Newcomer Team recognition.

Kennedy Taylor, another All-Newcomer Team honoree, and Jade Masogayo, an All-Freshman Team selection and Freshman of the Year recipient, also play major roles for the Lady Bears and took home league awards.

Up Next
The winner of Friday's quarterfinal matchup between Drake and Missouri State will advance to the Hoops in the Heartland semifinals. The advancing team will take on either the top-seeded Illinois State Redbirds or the No. 8 seed Murray State Racers on Saturday, Mar. 11 at 1:30 p.m.
