DES MOINES, Iowa — The Drake women's soccer team announced its 2023 schedule featuring a total of 18 matches, highlighted by 11 regular season home games. 
 
The Bulldogs kick off the season with an exhibition at Western Illinois on Aug. 9 followed by a home exhibition match against Iowa on Aug. 13.
 
Drake officially opens the season on Aug. 18 in Milwaukee, Wis., against Wisconsin-Parkside before heading to Green Bay on Aug. 20.
 
The Bulldogs will play eight consecutive home games from Aug. 24-Sept. 21 including non-conference opponents such as South Dakota State (Aug. 24), North Dakota State (Aug. 27), Creighton (Sept. 3), St. Thomas (Sept. 7), Omaha (Sept. 10), South Dakota (Sept. 13).
 
Missouri Valley Conference play gets underway at home on Sept. 17 against rival UNI before Southern Illinois comes to town on Sept. 21. Drake will take a quick road trip to UIC on Sept. 24 before returning home against Indiana State on Sept. 28.
 
After visiting Missouri State on Oct. 5, the Bulldogs play host to Valparaiso on Oct. 8. A trip to central Illinois to take on Illinois State on Oct. 12 is followed up with the final home match of the season on Oct. 15 versus Evansville.
 
The regular season concludes with back-to-back matchups away from Des Moines at Murray State (Oct. 19) and Belmont (Oct. 22).

The MVC Tournament will run from Oct. 26-Nov. 5.
