DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake men's basketball finalized its non-conference schedule for the 2023-24 schedule with a slate that includes six home games, four neutral site contests and one road matchup. 
 
The Bulldogs will take on Truman State in an exhibition contest at the Knapp Center on Thursday, Nov. 2. Drake will welcome Lipscomb to town for the season opener on Wednesday, Nov. 8. Southwest Minnesota State will visit Des Moines on Tuesday, Nov. 14 before the Bulldogs travel to the Cayman Islands Classic Nov. 19-21 with their first tilt set versus Oakland. 
 
After Thanksgiving, Drake returns to the Knapp Center on Saturday, Nov. 25 against Texas Southern (2023 NCAA Tournament qualifier). Des Moines' Hometown Team will not see action again until Wednesday, Dec. 6 in a home battle versus Saint Louis. 
 
Darian DeVries' squad has been invited to the Jack Jones Classic to play fellow 2023 NCAA Tournament qualifier Nevada in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson, Nev., on Saturday, Dec. 9.
 
Drake's final two home non-conference games will occur on Dec. 14 and Dec. 19 playing host to Grambling State and Alcorn State (2023 SWAC regular season champion) respectively. 
 
The lone true road contest of the non-conference season is scheduled for Dec. 22 at UAB.
