DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake women's tennis began their fall schedule with the Bulldog Classic right here in Des Moines. As a team, Drake went 19-5 on the weekend, securing the titles in four of five singles draws and one doubles draw.
 
Ines Stephani, Elizabete Klavinska, Oriana Parkins-Godwin and Nicole Lee all collected individual crown. The tandem of Stephani and Parkins-Godwin, last year's All-MVC No. 2 Doubles team, took home a title in doubles action.
 
"I am really pleased to start the season on a high note with an impressive showing at the annual Bulldog Classic," Drake head coach Breaunna Addison said. "I think the biggest take-away from the weekend was starting to see the pieces come together and recognizing the growth potential we have as a program. Our best tennis is in front of us, and we are excited to get back to work." 
 
The Bulldogs' fall schedule continues with MVC Individuals starting on Friday, Oct. 6 until Sunday, Oct. 8.
