The Basics
Drake women's tennis is set to close its 2026 regular season slate with a pair of road matches this weekend. The Bulldogs will travel to Valparaiso (April 18) before visiting UIC in the Windy City for the regular slate finale (April 19).
Bulldog Breakdown
Drake has won three of its last four matches despite a 4-3 loss in the Bulldogs' most recent match vs. Bradley. The Dogs are 8-10 overall and 3-2 in Missouri Valley Conference play.
Drake recently swept the Missouri Valley Conference weekly awards.
Maja Dodik won the MVC Singles Player of the Week. Dodik then combined with
Jordane Dookie to take home the Doubles Team of the Week honor.
Scouting Valparaiso
Valpo is currently riding a 5-match losing streak with the Beacons' last win coming over Chicago State on March 21. Valparaiso recently fell in a pair of road matches at Murray State and Belmont.
Drake has never lost to the Beacons with an 8-0 margin in the all-time series. The Bulldogs are looking for their fourth straight win in Valparaiso.
Scouting UIC
The Flames of UIC are on the opposite end of the MVC standings with an unblemished 5-0 record in league play and 12-6 mark overall. UIC has won its last six matches with their last defeat coming over a month ago on March 8 at Northern Illinois.
The Bulldogs and Flames are all square in their all-time series, 3-3. Drake has lost the last two meetings and is looking for its first win in Chicago since 2007.

Drake is currently fifth in the MVC standings at 3-2. Three teams are logjammed in front of the Bulldogs are 4-2. If the Bulldogs remain in the top six, they will qualify for the Missouri Valley Conference Tennis Championship held in Chicago from April 24-26.
