LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Drake volleyball program had a pair of players named to the AVCA All-Central Region Team, which was announced on Tuesday morning.
Jada Wills was selected to the First Team and
Macy Daufeldt was tabbed as an honorable mention.
This marks the second consecutive season where Drake has had multiple members be honored since the inception of the award in 2007. For Wills, the 2024 MVC Co-Libero of the Year, it is her second straight season earning an AVCA All-Region selection. This is Daufeldt's first career AVCA All-Region selection after being named the 2024 MVC Co-Player of the Year.
There are 14 All-Region team members and 6-8 honorable mention selections for each of the 10 regions. Additionally, a Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year were selected for the regions.
The 211 student-athletes who made All-Region represent 108 different schools. Pittsburgh leads the way with seven selections, followed by Oregon with six. Creighton, Florida, Kansas, Louisville, Nebraska, Stanford, and Wisconsin all had five All-Region picks.
