LEXINGTON, Ky. – Drake's
Macy Daufeldt was named to an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American team, the organization announced today.
The junior outside hitter collected an Honorable Mention recognition after being named the Co-MVC Player of the Year. This marks the first AVCA All-American selection for the Bulldogs since
Haley Bush received an Honorable Mention in 2022.
Daufeldt was a four-time MVC Player of the Week honoree this season and led Drake with 484 kills. She recorded the third-highest mark in the league this season for kills in a match with 32 vs. Valpo on Nov. 8 and posted 34 service aces. Defensively, Daufeldt ranked second on Drake with 337 digs and compiled 68 total blocks, the third-best mark on the squad. Over the course of the season the West Liberty, Iowa native recorded 20 double-double performances in 30 matches.
